Westchurch
Westchurch is a community church which you will find informal and friendly and welcoming to all comers regardless of faith background or particular beliefs. Our mission is to know, celebrate and share Christ. We are a Bible-loving church, but prepared to struggle with difficult texts and questions. We meet in a school hall and have a variety of services - brunch, teaching, worship, home groups and others - and an active children’s programme.
We don’t have a formal membership - you belong by coming. Nor do we have a minister or a hierarchical structure - the church is the governing body, guided by elected elders, and the teaching is mostly from church members.
At the moment we are actively seeking more young families to join us, to strengthen our existing young families and children’s work.
Westchurch is linked with CCCNZ, and has various other linkages through joint ministries with Anglican, Baptist and Presbyterian churches in Christchurch.

BRUNCH Sundays
Join us to enjoy food, drink, fun, talk and great company on the 1st Sunday of the month*.
Our monthly* brunch is unlike any Sunday church service you might imagine. It is a light brunch and fun for families and friends!
We hope you can come along and enjoy our friendly company, good food, coffee and a very short, thought-provoking, talk.
The Brunch service is ideal for anyone a bit reluctant to visit a 'church' ... they will find it easy to 'fit in'.
Other Sundays

Naturally we'd love to have you join us on other Sundays.
On the 4th Sundays of the month* we have a more musical service - a traditional 'Worship' service with lots of singing.
Other Sundays we'll be sitting around tables and participating in Biblical teaching, prayer and communion.
On the rare 5th Sundays in a month, it could be something completely different!
* This is the usual pattern for Sundays, but sometimes changed.
